Canalways Ireland - Our Base

Our base in Ireland

Canalways Ireland is based in Rathangan, which lies on the banks of the Barrow Line branch of the Grand Canal. in County Kildare. Rathangan was an important centre in the hey day of the Irish canals back in the 1790's.

Today there is no commercial traffic on the canals however, Rathangan still offers an  excellent central location on Ireland's waterways for anyone interested in exploring the pleasures  of Inland cruising.
